Arsenal stars wrap up as boss Arsene Wenger urges Jack Wilshere just to focus on fitness instead of his long-term future
ARSENE WENGER has once again urged Jack Wilshere keep his focus "just about being fit" rather than stress about his long-term future.
The veteran French boss was busy preparing his men in training today ahead of tomorrow's Premier League clash with Huddersfield.
Wilshere, 25, will be hoping for his first domestic start of the season after managing just 48 minutes of action so far in the league coming from his three substitute appearances.
Speculation continues to grow over the England international's future with his deal expiring next summer, but Wenger has told him just to concentrate on getting into the side for now.
Speaking on the midfielder's situation ahead of the Terriers match, Wenger said: "For him, I’ve repeated it many times, it’s just about being fit.
"He’s considered like any other player in the squad. He’s at that level now that every opportunity he gets is a good chance for him to commit for a long-term future.
"At the moment, I just think about the interest of our next game. I don’t think long term.
"For him, I always considered his interest because for me he’s an Arsenal player and has been since he was a kid.

"He’s a football man and I will always decide what is best for him, that is my first priority no matter what kind of decision I make.
"I have to consider the interests of Jack Wilshere and Arsenal together."

Wilshere appeared to have his attention firmly on his football as the Gunners squad put in their final preparations for Huddersfield.
Mesut Ozil was among the stars wrapped up warm in order to beat the chill, and Wenger will be hopeful that the German will overcome his recent illness to start at the Emirates.
The winger and Alexis Sanchez are two other players who are out of contract in North London in June.
Wenger has been adamant that neither will sold in the January transfer window, and both looked to be on top form this morning.
And there looked to be no pre-match nerves as the Arsenal men enjoyed a laugh at Saed Kolasinac's attire.
The left-back went for a full-on old school chav look, tucking his trackie bottoms into his socks - and his team-mates made no secret of what they thought about it.
