And according to the Mirror, the Gunners are one of four Premier League clubs showing interest in him.

While Arsene Wenger is reportedly focusing on his youth ranks, the Gunners boss is not worried about losing senior stars in January.

The upcoming transfer window will be his last chance to cash in on contract rebels Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

When asked whether the pair would stay, Wenger said: "Yes, of course."

Questions have been asked about their commitment with the likelihood of summer exits.

But Wenger added: "As long as they are here, they give their best for the club.

"In my head, they stay until the end of the season. Unless something unbelievable happens I don't see that changing."

Asked if they will remain beyond the end of the campaign, he added: "I am not the only one to decide that. They have to decide that as well."
