Manchester United star Paul Pogba incredibly reveals he was an Arsenal fan as a youngster

MANCHESTER UNITED star Paul Pogba has incredibly revealed he was an ARSENAL fan as a youngster... as the two sides prepare to do battle on Saturday.

The United midfielder, 24, amazingly claimed to have been a "big" supporter of the Gunners growing up, thanks to their strong French flavour.

Pogba also claimed Thierry Henry was played a key role in his Gunners fandom in his formative years.

The Man United youth product revealed: “In France, they [Arsenal] were very big - they had a lot of French players.

“I was a big fan of Arsenal, Thierry Henry, I was watching him.

“I was a little fan, not a crazy fan, but I was watching a lot of Arsenal games.

“They have always been a great club.”

Pogba of course joined Man United's academy in 2009, aged just 16 - having spent some time at Roissy-en-Brie, Torcy and Le Havre.

After just three Premier League appearances, he was shipped off to Juventus in 2012, labelled a flop.

Since then Pogba has proven he is the main man in United's midfield - with Mourinho's men clearly lacking creativity in the middle of the park while he was injured.

However, the France star is back to full fitness now... and has revealed what he likes - and doesn't like - about training.

Pogba revealed: “My favourite part [of training] is the game at the end of the session.

“The worst is the same for everyone I think – the tactics.

“Defensive tactics because you just have to drill, you don't have the ball. I always learned playing with my friends.”
