Barcelona beat Arsenal and Chelsea to signing of Iker San Vicente from Osasuna
The 16-year-old rejected a long-term contract at the El Sadar and will be available to move on a free in the January transfer window
BARCELONA have signed Osasuna starlet Iker San Vicente on a free transfer, according to reports from Spain.
Diario de Navarra claims that Barcelona are in contact with Osasuna directors to finalise a deal.
The 16-year-old will arrive on a free and will be incorporated into Barca's Juvenil B squad after refusing to sign a new contract with Osasuna.
In Spain up until the age of 16, players can only sign one-year-deals until they pen their first professional contract.
The defender dubbed, 'the new Gerard Pique' is regarded as one of the most promising young defenders in Spain.
The player's performances attracted the attention of top Premier League clubs such as Chelsea and Arsenal.
