LOUIS VAN GAAL has sent Chelsea an amazing "come and get me" plea.
The former Manchester United boss, 66, said he is considering one final management job before he retires.
Dutchman Van Gaal revealed earlier this week that he would be tempted to boss a rival Premier League club so he could "put one over" on United.
And he has now revealed he would relish the chance to take over at Stamford Bridge if Antonio Conte leaves the reigning champions.
Conte's Blues lie third, 14 points behind leaders Manchester City, and host Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarter-final tomorrow.
Van Gaal said: "In principle I am finished with management, but you never say never.

"That is to say that I think I should stop. But I could still be triggered if a job comes along that I think is a challenge, and where I don't have to work seven days a week.
"Manchester City won't phone me with an offer - but Chelsea could well do so.

"I don't think a top English club will come in for me, so in that situation I will only become the coach of a national team.
"That could be the case. As for all the other clubs, I don't think it will happen any more."
Van Gaal ended his two-year Old Trafford spell in 2016 with an FA Cup win, but made way following fourth and fifth-placed finishes in the Premier League.
The former Holland coach previously won a host of trophies with Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
