Arsenal transfer news: Olivier Giroud open to exit in January over World Cup fears… but not to Ligue 1
France striker wants to be playing as much as possible ahead of tournament in Russia, says agent
OLIVIER GIROUD is open to leaving Arsenal in January, says his agent Michael Manuello.
The Arsenal striker has started just one Premier League game this season - and with a World Cup next summer wants to be playing more regularly.
The Frenchman, who has four league goals, turned down a move to Everton in the summer.
He started all six Europa League games, scoring three goals, but has not had the same chances in the Prem.
Manuello says that while there is no problem with Arsene Wenger or the club, Giroud is willing to listen to offers.
"[Not playing] can make things complicated," he told Foot Mercato.

"But conflict, that kind of thing, is not in Olivier’s nature, nor in mine. We always work in harmony.
"It is normal for Arsene to take this position publicly and we do not have to comment on it.
"Now, depending on the offers which are made, we will sit around a table and talk.
"The most important thing is to know what is going to be offered or not this winter to find a better game project. Now, again, this project has to present itself."
Giroud will NOT be able to play against Liverpool at the weekend after picking up a hamstring injury in the Carabao Cup clash on Tuesday night.
It remains to be seen how long he will be out for.
One place the striker will not be heading is France.

"It will be outside France if there is one (a transfer)," added Manuello.
"There will be approaches. All clubs looking for an attacker are likely to come.
"We have to be careful and if there is something obvious, we will try to convince Arsene to reconsider what has been said."
