WEST HAM will fight Arsenal and Everton for former Blackburn and Stoke midfielder Steven Nzonzi, after he flew in to England, according to reports.

Toffees boss Sam Allardyce looked nailed on to land the Sevilla powerhouse in January, having been the manager Premier League who first unearthed him.

Big Sam paid Amiens just £500,000 for Nzonzi when he was Rovers boss in 2009, before a £3million Potteries move in 2012.

The Europa League winner is now worth £20m and Allardyce is battling with his former Hammers side for his signature.

The 28-year-old can now pick between West Ham and Everton - according to the Standard - following a row with head coach Eduardo Berizzo, who will be glad to cash-in.

Nzonzi has not made a match day squad since being substituted at half-time of Sevilla’s 3-3 draw with Liverpool in the Champions League in November.

In an interview with France Football he revealed: “The coach pointed the finger at me. I will not repeat but his words affected me.

“I was always professional despite the circumstances, I always did my job, I found it unfair. My future is clearly away from Seville. The only thing that disappoints me is the way it has ended.

“We just have to wait until December is over and everything will be done.

"What hurts is the way everything is going to end. It hurts, of course, but for now the team is functioning.

"There’s only a short time left, just December to pass, and it’s better that my time at Sevilla stops then.

“I hope Sevilla qualify in the Champions League and have good luck in the future, but I will not be part of that adventure.”

A video appears to show Nzonzi walking through Gatwick airport on Tuesday night, with a snap posted of a man holding a sign with the player's name.

And it sparked speculation that the Frenchman could be jetting in to seal a return to the Premier League.

Reports in Spain claim the Gunners are ready to pay his £32.5m release fee.
