Henderson, 27, was then replaced by James Milner.

But it appears it's Arsenal fans that are disappointed with the injury news with many joking that Jurgen Klopp's side are better off without him on the field.

One viewer said: "Jordan Henderson going off after ten mins can only help Liverpool."

Another joked: "Huge blow for Arsenal as Jordan Henderson leaves the field injured."

One account said: "Jordan Henderson leaves the pitch after 11 minutes, to the delight of #LFC fans everywhere."

Jason Lincoln added: "Jordan Henderson going off is a big advantage for Liverpool. Makes them worse every time he plays."

Klopp is now likely to be without his skipper for the hectic Christmas period.

And many joked it's because Henderson fancies an extended festive holiday.

One fan said: "Jordan Henderson off to Dubai then for a Xmas holiday."

Another wrote: "Jordan Henderson getting the obligatory Christmas injury in nice & early. Feet up watching only fools now is it Jordan."
