JOSE MOURINHO is ready to loan Ryan Sessegnon back to Fulham to make sure he lands the £25million youngster.

Manchester United stepped up their move for the 17-year-old after he scored a hat-trick against Sheffield United last month.

United scouts have tracked Sessegnon since he broke into the first-team with the Championship side.

And they are prepared to move swiftly to make sure they land the youngster ahead of Tottenham.

At the moment Mourinho has Luke Shaw breaking back into his first-team plans and competing for a place.

Shaw is determined to fight for his place at Old Trafford instead of looking for a move.

And it means a short-term move for Sessegnon means the England Under-19s ace can continue his development with regular senior football.

The teenager has often played left-back but his pace and attacking means he could go further up the pitch as his career progresses.

Sessegnon's impressive treble in the 5-4 win over the Blades took him to four goals for the season - highlighting his potential going forwards.

He has played in all 23 of Fulham's Championship matches this season - giving him plenty of opportunities to gain experience in a fiercely competitive league.
