Manchester United ‘end interest in Antoine Griezmann’ clearing way for Barcelona to sign Atletico Madrid man
Frenchman came close to Old Trafford move last summer but Fifa's decision to uphold transfer ban saw him stay in Spain
MANCHESTER UNITED have ended their interest in Antoine Griezmann, according to reports in Spain.
And that has cleared the way for Barcelona to seal the Frenchman's signature in the summer.
Griezmann, 26, looked set to seal a move to Old Trafford in the summer before Fifa's decision to uphold Atletico Madrid's transfer ban saw him perform a U-turn.
Jose Mourinho was expected to revive his interest at the end of the current season, but Marca report that, as things stand, they have no intention of signing him.
Barcelona have made Griezmann their top priority alongside Philippe Coutinho, and their overzealous approach even saw Atletico report them to Fifa.
