Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson believes Jose Mourinho will not change his style of play, according to Dwight Yorke

DWIGHT YORKE has revealed Sir Alex Ferguson does not believe Jose Mourinho will change his style of play.

But Yorke has revealed United legend Fergie does not see Mourinho having to switch styles because he has had success with how they play now.

Yorke said on beIN Sports said: "He's done that type of stuff as a manager throughout his career.

"He's been very successful doing it this way. I had this conversation with Sir Alex last week, and he can't see him changing because if you're successful this way, why would you want to change?"

United take on Southampton on Saturday as they look to close the gap on bitter rivals Manchester City.

Despite splashing out £300million on talent, the Special One hit out at the Etihad club for their spending.

He claimed after Saturday's disappointing home draw with Burnley that he still needs to spend more to compete.

And as the club looks to challenge for the Champions League and  FA Cup in the New Year, it is possible Mourinho could be splashing out again next month.
