Remember when Manchester United lost to rivals City in the derby a few weeks ago? And do you recall how everyone from players to fans to pundits said that United could or even would have won if they had the suspended Paul Pogba in their team that day?
Well, since the Frenchman has been back in the side, United have lost to Bristol City, drawn with Leicester and now drawn with Burnley.
He makes all the difference, doesn’t he?

After their draw with Burnley, the United bemoaned his lack of spending power as he tries to keep pace with Manchester City, complaining that their rivals are now buying full-backs for the same as other clubs buy strikers.

Mourinho can moan as much as he likes about the strength of otherwise of his squad but here’s a thing. Burnley so nearly beat United at Old Trafford without Ton Heaton, James Tarkowski, Stephen Ward, Robbie Brady and Chris Wood.

You have to feel for David Moyes.
His West Ham side were within a minute or so of taking all three points away to Bournemouth when referee Bobby Madley made a helluva of mistake, allowing Callum Wilson’s injury-time offside handballed goal to stand.
It was a shocking decision and yet further proof that we really do need a video referee to clean up Madley’s mess, week in, week out.

Despite football he described as ‘average’ (and what most fans would call ‘tosh’) Sam Allardyce was happy enough with a point after the goalless draw against West Brom.
The result means that Allardyce has also become the first Everton manager in history to remain unbeaten in his first seven games in charge.
And who cares if the Toffees’ matches as always going to be last on Match of the Day from now on?
