Jose Mourinho reveals Zlatan Ibrahimovic is injured and ruled out for a month ahead of Man United’s clash with Everton

Swede was left out of the matchday squad in the 0-0 draw against Southampton

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC has added to Manchester United's injury woes after Jose Mourinho revealed the striker is out for a month.

He joins fellow striker Romelu Lukaku on the sidelines after the Belgian was taken off on a stretcher following a clash of heads in the 0-0 draw with Southampton.

Ibra was hooked off at half-time in the Boxing Day draw with Burnley and questions were raised when he was left out of the match-day squad to face the Saints.

Lukaku was taken off on a stretcher early on and needed oxygen after a clash of heads with Wesley Hoedt.

Marcus Rashford came on to replace Lukaku when the like-for-like replacement would've been Ibrahimovic.

However, Mourinho revealed after the game that Zlatan picked up a knock against Burnley and will be sidelined for about a month.

It leaves United desperately short up front, and on Monday they'll come up against the man they let go - Wayne Rooney.

Man United travel to Goodison Park on New Year's Day after their fourth game in a row where they've failed to win.
