Manchester United players arrive at Titanic hotel ahead of crucial clash against Everton
MANCHESTER UNITED players appeared to have that sinking feeling as they checked into the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool.
Jose Mourinho's players looked glum as they arrived on Merseyside on New Year's Eve ahead of their clash with Everton.
The squad took the 35-mile trip by coach, arriving at 9pm - presumably missing any festivities.
Superior rooms at the hotel cost £99 a night, although suites are close to £400,
Manchester United are struggling for form having failed to win any of their last four games.
That desperate spell has included losing to Bristol City in the Carabao Cup and drawing with Leicester, Burnley and Southampton in the Premier League.

Although they lost late on against Bournemouth, Everton have won four and drawn three of Big Sam's eight games in charge.
To make matters even worse for Mourinho, he saw star striker (and former Toffees hero) Romelu Lukaku ruled out for two months after a nasty head injury against Southampton.
The injury comes after the news that reserve striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will also be out for a month - leaving Marcus Rashford as the only fit striker in the squad.
Ashley Young will also be out for three games after he picked up a retrospective ban for an elbow on Dusan Tadic.
Mourinho moaned about his mounting injury list after the 0-0 draw.
"The boys are trying, but we have lots of problems in the team and we lost Lukaku and Ibrahimovic for a month," he said.
"That means Ibra stops his run to recovery, his running for many, many months in a period when he needs to play and to have minutes, but now we lose him for a month and then we lose Lukaku, but I don't know for how long.
