Dusan Tadic reveals what Ashley Young told him after Manchester United star elbowed Southampton ace
Young is serving three game ban for violent conduct after his elbow on Tadic was missed by the referee but picked up by TV cameras at Old Trafford on Saturday
DUSAN TADIC has revealed Ashley Young denied elbowing him after the England international clearly jabbed his arm into the Serbian's ribs.
The pair clashed when Young was marking Tadic as United defended a corner in the goalless draw on Saturday.
Young elbowed the Serbian international and referee Craig Pawson did not spot the incident.
The United winger has been hit with a three game ban by the FA for violent conduct and misses the New Year’s Day trip to Everton.
After the game Tadic revealed: “Yes, he elbowed me and I asked him 'why did you do this?'
"I didn't really understand. I can fall down but it was really strange because I didn't expect that from him."

The 29-year-old who impressed for Saints at Old Trafford insisted he expected better behaviour from an experienced player like Young.
He added: “I'm disappointed about that because you don't expect that from him, because he's an experienced player and he cannot do that I think.

Young accepted the FA violent conduct charge but felt his three-game ban was excessive.
However, Tadic is adamant he did nothing to provoke Young’s moment of madness.
He added: “No, no, no. Nothing, I was surprised.
“At the next corner I asked him 'why did you do that?' and he said 'I didn't do anything'. I said 'you didn't do anything? You elbowed me in the stomach without reason'.
“Okay, if you want to push it's different, but an elbow is different."
After a well earnt point at Old Trafford, Tadic has urged the team to push on and beat Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
He said: “We have quality, we need to believe in ourselves and to play with more courage.
“It's a very important game for us, I hope we will take three points, they're a very strong team and difficult to beat, but I hope we can do that and we need to prepare well for that."
