Jose Mourinho tells agents to find Manchester United two defenders and a midfielder in January splurge
A pair of new full-backs and a fresh playmaker are on the shopping list at Old Trafford as Man City disappear out of sight
JOSE MOURINHO wants two defenders and an attacking midfielder and he wants them now – with agents put on red alert – according to reports.
The Portuguese blames the 15-point gap between his side and Prem leaders Manchester City on a lack of spending at Old Trafford – despite a £260million spree.
And he has told deal breakers to land him two full-backs and a playmaker to be in place before February, according to the Mail.
Despite having £31.5m left-back Luke Shaw fit again, £12.6m right-back Matteo Darmian on the bench and versatile big-money stars Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young prepared to fill-in, Mourinho wants signings.
And midfield maestros Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan don’t seem to have convinced Mourinho of their skills in the hole.
The Special One allegedly risks a row with Old Trafford bosses if he continues to criticise their methods publicly.
The United executives expect the outspoken star to slam referees and rival mangers in the media but not them.
And he more or less demanded instant improvements in his last interview after the Everton draw.

“If somebody comes, welcome. If nobody comes, we are going to fight with the players we have.”
