Crystal Palace eyeing shock £10m swoop for Watford striker Stefano Okaka

Okaka, 28, has made just six appearances for the Hornets this term and may be keen on a fresh start

CRYSTAL PALACE are weighing up a shock move for Watford’s Italian striker Stefano Okaka.

The Eagles want more competition for misfiring Christian Benteke and Okaka can go for a knockdown £10million.

Okaka, 28, has made just six appearances for the Hornets this term and may be keen on a fresh start with Palace.

There he would have a fighting chance of starting a game.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson has had to rely on Benteke, whose form has been below average, with some of his displays criticised by the manager.

Palace are looking for two new strikers.

SunSport reported how the Eagles have reportedly made a £16million bid for Lille's powerful centre-half Ibrahim Amadou.

FINALLY Liverpool star completes move to Barcelona

Palace have contacted the French club about the Cameroon-born star, who could help solve their injury crisis.

Amadou, 24, was a Palace target in the summer window - and SunSport recently revealed they were back in again.

Last year the clubs could not agree a fee and the Eagles eventually paid more to land Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool in a £26m deal.

There has been a fresh move for Amadou and the player would jump at the Premier League switch.

Sakho is also sidelined with a calf strain and Scott Dann faces spending the rest of the season on the sidelines.
