De Boer added Zaha should not look to leave the club this January in order to play week-in, week-out.

The ex-Eagles boss said: "I was really a little bit unfortunate that [Zaha] was injured in the first game.

"I missed him in the coming six games. He has a major impact for Crystal Palace because he can make something out of nothing.

"He can play for a much bigger club than Crystal Palace, that's for sure, I'm 100 per cent convinced."

Despite that, De Boer admitted a January move would not be beneficial for Zaha at this time.

When asked if Zaha should leave this month, the Dutchman added: "Not really right now.

"Because he has to play every game, every week, I think that's important for him right now.

"Liverpool would be a great club for him but I'm going to see what he does in the future.

"I'm very interested in him because I think he has a great potential."

Zaha of course has played for a top-six team, leaving Crystal Palace to join Manchester United in 2013.

However, after failing to reach his potential at Old Trafford, Zaha returned to the Eagles two years later.

Now 25-years-old, the ex-United forward may well finally have what it takes to make the grade at a Premier League title contender.

Zaha has scored four times in 17 Premier League appearances for Crystal Palace this season.
