Paul Pogba’s hamstring injury could give Ander Herrera chance to get back into Jose Mourinho’s good books
Spaniard reportedly had a falling out with the United boss but could be drafted back in to help the team in Pogba's absence
PAUL POGBA'S unfortunate hamstring injury could give Ander Herrera the chance to get back into the Manchester United team, according to reports.
Pogba was taken off during United's 3-0 Champions League win against Basel on Tuesday night and is set to miss a number of matches.
But the Daily Mail are reporting in that Herrera, 28, could benefit after only making his first Premier League start against Stoke a month into the season.
And the report goes on to claim that Herrera has been out-of-favour with boss Jose Mourinho over an incident at their Carrington training ground.
He is said to have invited mates from Celta Vigo but once Mourinho spotted them he took Herrera into his office and told him off.
While the dispute has seen Herrera struggle for first-team opportunities this season, it is unlikely to go much further after Pogba's injury.
Meanwhile, Andreas Pereira has claimed he is flattered by Mourinho wanting him to stay at United, but wants to stay on loan at Valencia.
The midfielder moved to the Spanish side rather than stay at United and compete for his place which Mourinho was not happy about.

Pereira: "It didn't hurt. I talked to him before coming here.
"I'm happy because he loves me and if he didn't think I was a good player he would not have wanted me to stay.
"If I thought negatively, it might hurt, but for me it's a good thing. I want to work hard and stay all year.
"I don't know about that clause. That is something between clubs.
"I was told I was going to play here for a year and I want to be here for a year."
