Liverpool travel to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday evening – 7.45pm kick off UK time – where they will face Leicester City in the Carabao Blabadao Yabadabadao League Cup for just the second time, then the two sides meet again on Saturday at the same place but different time (5.30pm) in the Premier League.

The only previous time these two sides have met in this competition came during the 1986/87 season at the third round stage at Anfield in front of 20,248, with the Reds securing a 4-1 win courtesy of a Steve McMahon treble and a strike from player-manager Kenny Dalglish.

Liverpool made it all the way to the final that season but lost 1-2 to Arsenal, finished runners up in the league (nine points behind Everton) and crashed out of the FA Cup at the third round stage to Luton Town, losing a second replay 0-3.
