Arsenal set to open talks over new contract for starlet Alex Iwobi

Arsenal are working on a new deal for Alex Iwobi.

The winger has broken into the first-team in recent weeks and found the net in wins against Everton and Watford.

The 19-year-old's current deal expires in the summer of 2019 but Arsene Wenger has now revealed the club are looking to extend it.

"We are discussing it at the moment to extend him," said Wenger.

"He is a real Arsenal person. He has been here since he was eight. He has three years left at the end of the season but we want to keep him here for longer."
