Arsenal transfer report – Gunners make £9m bid for 22-year-old Paraguayan forward Miguel Almiron

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Paraguay forward Miguel Almiron.

The Gunners have been busy during the final week of the transfer window, securing deals for Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez.

Arsene Wenger says his spending is done there for now, however reports in Italy have suggested that they could yet seal a deal for Almiron too.

The 22-year-old currently players for Lanus in Argentina's top flight after moving there from Cerro Porteno in his native Paraguay last year.

And, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, Arsenal have offered £9.4m for his services as they hope to secure his signature before the close of the window this week.

But Lanus, who won the Primera Division last term, value him at around £11m and are holding out for more cash from north London.
