Arsene Wenger: Failure to qualify for Champions League will NOT affect Arsenal’s summer transfer plans

Arsene Wenger does not believe Arsenal's transfer targets will weaken even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

The Gunners are in danger of failing to qualify for Europe's premier club competition for the first time in 20 seasons, as they are currently languishing outside the top four.

Such a scenario has never occurred during Wenger's reign and there have been fears it could mean the club miss out on players this summer who want Champions League football.

However, Wenger has been bullish in his response and does not believe it will have an impact on Arsenal's transfer dealings.

"No, it means we focus on the same players," said Wenger.

"We'll deal with it. If we have to face it, we'll deal with it. At the moment, we are not there."
