Wenger insists Podolski will not be leaving Arsenal this summer

Lukas Podolski will not leave Arsenal this summer, according to Arsene Wenger.

The German international has been linked with a move away from the club, with Juventus, Napoli and Wolfsburg all credited with an interest.

But Wenger insists the World Cup winner will not leave the Emirates, saying he will be in the squad for the Champions League play-off second leg against Besiktas on Wednesday.

Arsenal have been rocked by the news that Olivier Giroud could miss three months with a foot injury, with Podolski now a potential candidate to start up front against the Turkish side.

And Wenger says he will not allow the former Bayern Munich man to leave.

"Podolski is in the squad tomorrow and will stay with us," said Wenger.
