PSG star set to end Man United speculation

The agent of Manchester United target Marco Verratti says the Italy international could extend his contract at Paris St-Germain.

Verratti joined the French league leaders from Pescara last summer in a £10.5million deal and has impressed with his mature displays at the heart of their midfield.

His performances, which have seen him likened to Juventus star Andrea Pirlo, have attracted interest from his homeland as well as the Premier League, with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson thought to be a fan.

However, his agent Donato Di Campli says the 20-year-old is happy in Paris and has no desire to move anytime soon.

He told Italian TV channel Rai Sport 1: "He's doing very well in Paris. Which club has £21m to buy him?

"I met [PSG sporting director] Leonardo, we will meet again to talk about improving his contract and I do not think that there will be problems. He is happy to be part of a great club."
