Roma starlet rejects Man United and Barcelona talk

Manchester United and Barcelona target Marquinhos insists he is happy to stay at Roma.

The defender has been a revelation in Serie A following his move from Corinthians last summer and has attracted the interest of United and Barcelona.

However, the 18-year-old, who has a contract at Roma until 2017, wants to remain loyal to the Italian side.

He told Sky Italia: "I'm a Roma player, I have a contract and I'm very happy to be here.

"I made the choice to come here together with my family and my agent, and I am happy with the decision. I have another four years on my contract.

"I was badly misinterpreted by comments [earlier this week]. I only wanted to say that I am thinking just of training and playing because everything else is taken care of by my agent and the club."
