Manchester United's Paul Pogba ruled out of Manchester Derby

Good news for City, or mind games from José Mourinho?

Paul Pogba has been ruled out by Manchester United manager José Mourinho and will not face Manchester City on Thursday.

The French midfielder and the world's most expensive signing was injured in United's Premier League win against Burnley last Sunday. He was substituted in the 90th minute, and Mourinho said after the match the he needed to find out the latest on Pogba's condition.

Asked on Wednesday's press conference about the status of his player, Mourinho was quick to rule him out, but Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia are expected to be available.

Pogba is obviously a huge miss for United and good news for City ahead of such an important match, but we must take this with a grain of salt. José Mourinho has played mind games and ruled out players before, only for them to start the match and shock all of us.

Don't be surprised if Paul Pogba is in the United lineup on Thursday, but for now we'll believe Mourinho and say Pogba is not going to play.
