On an extremely emotional day of tribute to White Hart Lane, Tottenham Hotspur have taken a early lead against Manchester United. With the Spurs faithful in fine voice, Victor Wanyama put the hosts ahead in just the sixth minute with a towering header off a cross from the left flank from Ben Davies.
A short corner by Christian Eriksen was played to Davies who whipped in a fine cross to the far post where Wanyama was there after out-leaping several defenders. His header was true and flew into the back of the net to send WHL into rapture. What a way to kick this glorious day off.
