Marco Reus has already held transfer talks with Arsenal and the Gunners remain keen on trying to sign him, according to reports in Spain.

Reus is all but certain to be departing Borussia Dortmund in the near future after turning down a new contract, and a host of top European sides are keen.

Arsenal are reported to be the front runners, and now Spanish newspaper Vozpopuli claims Reus held talks with Arsene Wenger about a switch in London over the summer.

The paper says the discussions went well but Arsenal put the transfer on hold because of his injury – but are now ready to revive it.

It won’t be easy to sign Reus though, with Bayern Munich pushing hard to do business, while Atletico Madrid and Manchester United will also provide rival offers.
