Jose Mourinho claims Tottenham are currently the best team in the Premier League.

The Manchester United manager made the prior to his side’s clash with Spurs at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side sit fifth in the Premier League ahead of their match against United, recording just two wins in seven matches, while they failed to make it out of their group in the Champions League.

But Mourinho believes their blend of a sturdy defence and ‘quality’ attack makes them the Premier League’s best.

‘I think they are the best team in the Premier League, they are the most complete team,’ Mourinho told Sky Sports.

‘Best defence but lots of quality in attacking areas, that’s why since last season I think that they, for me, at the best team in the league.’
