Leon Goretzka has spoken out amid speculation he could be set for a transfer move to Liverpool this summer.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been with Schalke since 2013 but is being heavily linked with a Premier League switch off the back of a barnstorming 2016/17 campaign in the Bundesliga.

It’s understood both Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in bringing Goretzka to England but the Germany international has rubbished claims he’s met with Jurgen Klopp in recent weeks.

‘I have nothing to say,’ the youngster said in an interview with Sky Deutschland.

‘I have not read anything and I have not spoken with Klopp!’

Goretzka is also firmly on Bayern Munich’s radar ahead of the 2017/18 season but insisted he has not yet made a decision over his future.

He added: ‘I have not made any decision yet and there is still no agreement. I have time!’
