Manchester United look set to be without three first team players for their pre-season friendly match against Valerenga in Oslo on Sunday evening.

The Red Devils left Manchester this morning and flew to Norway by private jet, having only recently returned to England after their International Champions Cup exploits in the United States.

When the players arrived at their hotel in Oslo, however, there were three high-profile players who did not alight from the team bus – though the squad is yet to be officially confirmed.

Neither right-back Antonio Valencia, goalkeeper David de Gea or winger Jesse Lingard were spotted at either Manchester airport or in Oslo.

One player who is likely to play some part in the match is Marouane Fellaini, despite rumours linking him with a move to Galatasaray.

Reports in Turkey have suggested that a delegation from the club arrived to wrap up a deal for the Belgian this week, with his place in the squad likely to be taken by Nemanja Matic.

The Serbian midfielder, who has been training alone at Chelsea, has finally been given the green light to move to Old Trafford in a £40 million deal.

There is further good news for United with both Juan Mata and Ander Herrera spotted in Oslo, with the Spanish duo in line to feature against Valerenga despite picking up knocks in the USA.
