Barcelona are planning a £100 million bid for Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard, according to reports.

The Spanish club are on the verge of selling Neymar in a £198m million deal to Paris Saint-Germain and are looking to recruit world-class signings to compensate for the Brazilian’s departure.

The Sun claims that Hazard is high on Barca’s shortlist and a bid will be launched before the end of the window.

As well as a move for Hazard, Barca will also pursue a deal for Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho as they view the Brazilian as Andres Iniesta’s long-term successor.

Earlier this summer, Hazard insisted that he was happy to stay at Chelsea after he was linked with a move to Real Madrid.

‘I’m good here. I’m at one of the best clubs in the world and I think I’m going to stay for a couple of years. I’m very happy,’ the Belgian told The Straits Times.

‘You can see on the pitch that I’m happy.

‘Next season, we will have the Champions League to play but we want to keep the Premier League trophy in Chelsea.
