Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has joined Leeds United on a season-long loan deal.

The youngster was expected to go out on loan for the season with first team opportunities at Old Trafford appearing limited for the 20-year-old.

It follows a loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers last season. The stint didn’t go well, with Borthwick-Jackson making just seven appearances for the Championship side.

But it hasn’t stopped Leeds United from taking a punt on the left-footed player.

Having joined Manchester United at the age of six, Borthwick-Jackson has made 14 senior appearances for the Red Devils. In Louis van Gaal’s final year at Old Trafford he made 10 appearances in the Premier League.

But, despite signing a new contract in 2016, he hasn’t played a single game since Jose Mourinho’s arrival.

He will wear the No.3 jersey at Elland Road having become the 11th new arrival at the club this summer.
