Borussia Dortmund are demanding €110 million (£100m) for Ousmane Dembele following interest from Barcelona and Manchester United, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been linked with a bid for Dembele earlier this summer but it’s Barcelona who have stepped up their efforts to sign the 20-year-old following Neymar’s £198m move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Sport claim that Barca want to meet with Dortmund this week to discuss a deal for the France international and the Spanish club’s initial offer will be €70m (£63m) plus add-ons.

Dortmund, however, have made it clear that they will not entertain offers for anything less than €110m up front – a fee which Barca are not prepared to pay.

Speaking about Barcelona’s interest last week, Dembele told GOL: ‘It is a pleasure to see your name in the list of players that Barca want.’

Reports have also claimed that Dembele has already reached an agreement with Barcelona but Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc insists those rumours are wide of the mark.

‘I am not aware of a commitment,’ he said.

‘This will surely accompany us for a while. It makes no sense to comment on these permanent rumours every time.’
