The agent of Julian Draxler has spoken out amid speculation that Arsenal are preparing a £32million transfer move for the Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder.

The 23-year-old has scored ten goals in 25 appearances for PSG since joining the club from Wolfsburg back in January but is already being linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes.

Reports suggest Arsene Wenger, who has maintained a long-term interest in Draxler, is considering a late move, with PSG listening to offers for the Germany international.

However, Draxler’s representative, Roger Witterman, has rubbished rumours of an imminent switch, insisting that his client will remain in Paris for the 2017/18 campaign.

Witterman told Bild: ‘Draxler will stay and will not be sold this summer.

‘Paris is building a group with the best players in the world at every post, and Julian is one of them and he wants to continue to be part of it.

Wenger revealed earlier this week that there is still the possibility of an ‘exceptional’ player joining the club before the summer transfer window closes.

‘We are open to an exceptional player,’ Wenger told Sky Sports.

‘However, just to remind you we have 33 players here and they are all good players

‘That’s unmanageable so to bring one more player in for the sake of it would be stupid, but if we find an exceptional one, we will do it.’
