Chelsea will take on Atletico Madrid and Roma, Manchester United avoided any tough ties and Tottenham are in a group of death in this season’s Champions League group stages, with the draw now over at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

Delegations from Europe’s biggest clubs descended on the French principality to learn their fate in this year’s tournament, with several groups of death pulled out of the pots.

The Premier League’s top seeded clubs have largely avoided the biggest teams, but Tottenham have landed in a very difficult group that features Champions League holders Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea face several stern tests involving a trip back to Italy for Antonio Conte, Liverpool have a group they will expect to win and both Manchester clubs will be optimistic about progressing. Check out the finalised groups below…

Each team will play their group opponents twice, home and away, over six gameweeks. The group stage begins at the start of September and runs until the start of December, with matches played on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
