Chelsea are ready to offer Swansea City £15million for Fernando Llorente as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his squad in the last week of the transfer window.

The Blues have signed Antonio Rudiger, Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer but Conte is concerned by the lack of depth in his squad.

Diego Costa’s ongoing absence means Chelsea have just Morata and Michy Batshuayi as options in attack and that would appear thin given the added fixtures Chelsea will have this season.

Llorente was a target for Chelsea in January but the Swans were unwilling to let him go as they were embroiled in a relegation fight.

The 32-year-old played under Conte at Juventus and is currently sidelined with a broken arm.

Neverthless, Chelsea plan to submit a £15m bid this week and are confident of landing their man, according to the Telegraph.

It’s expected to be a hectic week in west London with Conte targeting up to four new arrivals.

Chelsea are interested in signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Virgil van Dijk and a full-back as well as Llorente.
