Manchester United maintained their 100% start to the new Premier League season with a comfortable 2-0 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford.
Goals from substitutes Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini helped United to a third win in a row without conceding a goal.
The scoreline was hardly a fair reflection of the dominance Jose Mourinho’s side enjoyed – they could even afford a Romelu Lukaku penalty miss – and the Special One chose just a single word to sum up the qualities his team is currently exhibiting.
‘If I had to choose a word to describe my team it would be solid,’ Mourinho told BT Sport.
‘The blue wall was very well organised and I always give credit to that and they defended amazingly well but we kept calm and kept control of the game and the ball.
‘After we missed the penalty I saw the team was confident and I think we were really confident.
‘We are playing good football in from behind and totally in control the danger in the counter attack. I like my team very very much .
‘But three matches nine points is nothing new, that’s what we had last season.’
