Sadio Mane joined a very elite group of Liverpool players on Sunday thanks to his goal against Arsenal.

The Senegal international scored the Reds’ second goal at Anfield as the hosts totally dominated.

It was a superb strike from Mane, who picked the ball up on the left and ran at Arsenal defender Rob Holding. Having made it into the box, the Liverpool forward cut onto his right foot and bent his shot around Petr Cech and into the far corner.

It saw Mane continue his impressive start to the season which has seen him score in all three of Liverpool’s Premier League games so far this season.

In addition to Sunday’s goal against Liverpool, Mane netted against Watford on the opening weekend and scored the winner against Crystal Palace last weekend.

He becomes just the third Liverpool player to score in the opening three Premier League games of the season.

Robbie Fowler and Daniel Sturridge are the other Liverpool players to have achieved the feat.
