Arsenal could be handed a major transfer boost as Jadon Sancho’s reps prepare to hold talks with Manchester City over his future in a meeting scheduled for tomorrow.

The 17-year-old winger is a highly-rated prospect at the Etihad Stadium, but is thought to be keen on moving back to London, where he lived before leaving previous club Watford for City in 2015.

Arsenal are one of Sancho’s biggest admirers, though the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund have also all been linked with him at various points.

City tend to favour big-name signings over promoting youth, and Sancho may feel he’d be better off moving elsewhere in a bid to be playing first-team football in the next couple of seasons.

According to the Daily Mirror, the youngster may now be taking steps towards quitting City as his entourage prepare to hold talks over his situation with the club tomorrow.

As Sancho is not on a professional contract with the Blues, he can also move outside of the transfer window, though Arsenal and other teams would likely have to pay a significant compensation fee.

Arsenal are known for targeting top young players from all over the world and may feel they would be landing a real gem if they persuade Sancho to move to the Emirates Stadium.

However, City are likely to be keen to avoid losing the promising England youth international to one of their direct rivals.

Sancho’s current behaviour may be of concern to them, though, with reports earlier today claiming the player has been failing to attend training sessions for much of the last month, with the club struggling to get in contact with him.
