Sergio Aguero is becoming increasingly frustrated under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, according to reports.

The Daily Telegraph claims that the Argentina international is concerned about Guardiola’s selection policy and how his chances of securing a regular role at next year’s World Cup could be damaged by his lack of playing time at club level.

Aguero was surprisingly benched for the 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday and reports claim that the striker reacted to the demotion by staying on the team bus while his team-mates had left.

Arsenal have reportedly made an enquiry about Aguero’s availability but the 29-year-old does not want to move to Arsene Wenger’s side.

The Daily Telegraph also reports that Aguero’s team-mates at City have been left puzzled by Guardiola’s decision to overlook him on several occasions.

Aguero scored 33 goals in 45 appearances last season but Guardiola has preferred to use Gabriel Jesus in attack following the Brazilian’s arrival.

City, meanwhile, have had a £50m bid for Alexis Sanchez rejected by Arsenal.

Wenger is demanding that Raheem Sterling is used in any deal for the Chilean but City are looking to wrap up a deal with a cash-only offer.

Reports have also claimed that while City and Arsenal have not settled on a fee, Sanchez has agreed personal terms with Guardiola’s side.
