David Seaman believes Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could still have some signings up his sleeve for deadline day.

The Gunners appear set for a day of outgoings rather than incomings with Alexis Sanchez, Shkodran Mustafi, Lucas Perez and Mathieu Debuchy all strongly linked with late moves.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also poised to leave the Emirates as he completes a £40million switch to Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Seaman admits the situation is ‘worrying’ for Arsenal but the legendary goalkeeper believes his former club could yet secure some late additions.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the former England star said: ‘Is Sanchez going to have time to complete a move to Manchester City with the medical and being on international duty?

‘It’s worrying but Arsene Wenger might have some signings up his sleeve that nobody’s heard of yet.

‘Personally I think they needs a strong centre-half and a dominant central midfielder.

‘That proposed swap deal with [Raheem] Sterling [for Sanchez], I’d have taken a swap deal with Yaya Toure.’

Arsenal have been linked with Nice’s Jean-Michael Seri and Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler in recent weeks but the duo are unlikely to sign for the Gunners.

The north London outfit have reportedly decided against a late move for Seri, whose move to Barcelona fell through last week, while Germany boss Joachim Low claims Draxler will not be leaving the French capital.

‘I know for a fact that Paris don’t want to sell him,’ Low said. ‘They are convinced of his outstanding qualities.

‘He made such a big step forward there. I am convinced that he will come out on top at Paris. By now, he’s already playing a big role for us.’
