Liverpool have not included Nathaniel Clyne in their Champions League squad for the 2017/18 campaign.

While Philippe Coutinho is in Jurgen Klopp’s 25-man party, after appearing on the verge of a move to Barcelona, Clyne remains sidelined with a back injury.

The 26-year-old England right-back is yet to make an appearance for the Reds since the start of pre-season and there are fears he could be out of action for longer than first expected.

Danny Ings has also missed the cut as he continues a long recovery from a knee injury which cut short his 2016/17 season.
