Chelsea full-back Baba Rahman was back in first-team training this week after recovering from knee surgery.

The Ghanian spent last season on loan at Schalke but his move was cut short after he tore his anterior cruciate ligaments at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The left-back joined Chelsea in 2015 from Augsburg but has made just 15 league appearances for the Blues and failed to impress Antonio Conte upon his appointment last summer.

Rahman was omitted from both of Chelsea’s Premier League and Champions League squads and will have to prove his fitness to be included in January.

A host of Chelsea stars are currently on international duty, meaning Conte’s had a depleted group to work with at the side’s training ground this week.

Nevertheless, photos from training showed Rahman alongside the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Danny Drinkwater and new signing Kylian Hazard at Cobham.

Chelsea take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium after the international break and will be hoping to build on consecutive wins in the Premier League.
