Marcus Rashford has extended his incredible record of scoring on his competition debut as he found the net in Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Basel in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Jose Mourinho’s side got off to the perfect start on their return to Europe’s elite competition as goals from Marouane Fellaini, Romelu Lukaku and Rashford sealed victory at Old Trafford.

But Rashford’s strike is even more special as it was the 19-year-old’s sixth debut goal.

Rasford had already found the net in his first appearances for United in the Premier League, Europa League and EFL Cup.

The striker also made an immediate impact when he scored on his debut for England’s senior team and Under-21s side.

Rashford came on as a substitute in the 77th minute and managed to find the back of the net just seven minutes later with an assured finish from Fellaini’s cross.

Elsewhere in Group A, CSKA Moscow came from behind to secure a 2-1 win away to Benfica.
