Manchester United youngsters Demetri Mitchell and Kieran O’Hara have been added to the side’s Champions League squad.

Mitchell, 20, made his debut last season in a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace but has not made an appearance for Jose Mourinho’s first-team since the Old Trafford clash.

Goalkeeper O’Hara, meanwhile, is yet to play for United’s senior team but the 21-year-old was on the bench as Mitchell made his debut against Palace back in May.

Both Mitchell and O’Hara have been included on the B list after Mourinho named his 25-man squad for this season’s Champions League campaign last week.

United starlets Joel Pereira, Axel Tuanzebe, Scott McTominay and Marcus Rashford are also on the B list and can be called upon at any time.

Uefa rules state: ‘A player may be registered on the B list if he is born on, or after, 1 January 1996 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday (players aged 16 may be registered if they have been registered with the club for the previous two years).

‘Clubs are entitled to register an unlimited number of players on List B during the season.’
