Romelu Lukaku trolled Everton fans twice during Manchester United’s 4-0 victory over his former side at Old Trafford.

United were far from at their best but maintained their unbeaten start to the new campaign thanks to goals from Antonio Valencia, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Anthony Martial and Lukaku.

Valencia fired the Red Devils ahead with a stunning strike from outside the area after just four minutes and Mkhitaryan, Lukaku and Martial settled the affair late on.

Lukaku provided the assist for Armenia international Mkhitaryan to make it 2-0 and instead of celebrating with his teammate, immediately gestured towards the Everton fans in the away end.

The Belgian striker then netted a goal against his former club and once again made his feelings known by running straight towards the Everton fans and gesturing.

Lukaku, of course, was sold by Everton earlier in the summer after spending three years at Goodison. The 24-year-old scored 53 goals in 110 league games for the Toffees.

Asked about the gestures, Lukaku told Sky Sports after the victory: ‘It was just a bit of banter, I missed a free-kick and they booed me so I was happy to score.

‘It’s just another goal really. I’m really happy with the win so we stay top of the league.’
