Romelu Lukaku is making a key impact off the pitch as well as on it for Manchester United this season by reportedly working with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial on their finishing.

The Belgium international joined from Everton this summer and has got off to a superb start with eight goals in eight games in all competitions, but he’s also helped the rest of the side’s attack click.

Rashford and Martial have both looked that little bit more clinical in front of goal so far, netting five and four goals respectively to take the heat off United’s top scorer.

The Red Devils failed to share the goals around in the same way last season, with Jose Mourinho overly reliant on Zlatan Ibrahimovic to come up with the goods time and time again.

However, Lukaku is said to be going extra lengths to ensure United are well equipped if he hits a rough patch or isn’t on the pitch.

The 24-year-old has apparently been spending time with both Rashford and Martial on the training ground, helping them out with centre-forward basics like finishing and holding up the ball, according to The Sun.

A club source was quoted as saying: ‘He (Lukaku) has been an absolute diamond since he has arrived at the club.
