Antonio Conte admits Chelsea lost a ‘complete player’ in Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgium international scored a sublime goal to secure a 1-0 for Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening to keep Pep Guardiola’s side top of the Premier League.

De Bruyne was sold by Chelsea during Jose Mourinho’s stint in charge at Stamford Bridge, although reports have subsequently claimed that the Portuguese was against the idea of allowing the midfielder to leave.

After an impressive spell at Wolfsburg, City signed De Bruyne for £55 million and the Belgian has quickly established himself as one of the best midfielder’s in the Premier League.

When asked about Chelsea’s decision to sell De Bruyne after the defeat to City on Saturday, Conte said: ‘I don’t know, honestly, what happened in the past.

‘But for sure we are talking about a top player, the complete player.

‘He’s good. Technical, fast, and he works hard for his team. He is the complete player.’
